J (6.0) hook
Bpdc = back post double crochet
Fpdc = front post double crochet
Bobble: Yo, insert hook into next st, yo and draw up a loop, (yo and insert hook into same st, yo and draw up a loop) three times, yo and draw through all 9 loops on hook.
Picot: Sc in next st, ch 3, sc in same st.
Ch 12.
1. Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. Ch 1, turn (11 sc).
2. Working in back loops only, sc in each st across. Ch 1, turn (11 sc).
Repeat row 2 until piece measures 5 ½ inches across.
3. Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), turn, working in both loops, hdc in each st across (11 hdc).
4. Ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across.
5. Ch 2, fpdc in next st, hdc in next 7 sts, fpdc in next st, hdc in last st.
6. Ch 2, bpdc in next st, hdc in next 3 sts, bobble in next st, hdc in next 3 sts, bpdc in next st, hdc in last st.
7. Repeat row 5.
8. Ch 2, bpdc in next st, hdc in next 7 sts, bpdc in next st, hdc in last st.
9. Repeat row 5.
Repeat rows 6 through 9 four times (5 bobbles).
10. Working in back loops only, sc in each st across.
Repeat row 2 until piece measures approximately 18 inches.
Ch 1, 57 sc evenly along long edge of ear warmer. Ch 1, sc in each of unused loops of beg ch, 57 sc evenly along other edge. With right sides together, sl st short ends together. Turn piece right side out.
With right side facing, ch 1, sc in next 2 sts, picot in next st. (Sc in next 2 sts, picot in next st) around, cut yarn.
