Ch 31.
1. Sc in first 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch. (Sc in next ch, dc in next ch) across. Ch 1, turn (30 sts).
2. Sc in first dc, dc in next sc. (Sc in next dc, dc in next sc) across. Ch 1, turn (30 sts).
Repeat row 2 until piece measures approximately 9 ½ inches. Ch 1, turn.
Sc in next 29 sts, 3 sc in last dc, 29 sc evenly along side of washcloth, 3 sc in unused lp of beg ch. Sc in next 28 unused lps of beg ch. 3 sc in last lp, 29 sc evenly along other side of washcloth, join with sl st to first sc (124 sc).
Ch 4 (counts as first trc), 2 trc in same st. (Ch 1, skip next 2 sc, sc in next sc. Ch 1, skip next 2 sc, 3 trc in next sc) around to last 4 sc, ch 1, skip 2 sc, sc in next sc, ch 1, skip last sc, join with sl st to first trc. FO, weave in ends.

I may get to making this, this afternoon.
I have so much cotton yarn, that I do not think I can use it all in my lifetime.
Maybe I should make a set, with a washabi, and try to sell them all.

TY for sharing this wonderful pattern! I love that it's simple yet lovely. Adding a little applique' would be a nice touch too, I think. I'm going to make some washcloths & matching hand towels to use in the bathroom, & maybe add appliques to match different holidays to some of them. These would make awesome gifts!
